The following motions have been received
CHANGE THE QUORUM PERCENTAGE FROM 15% TO 50 MEMBERS IN SECTION 9.1 OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND SECTION 10A) OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING.Proposed by Brenda Brooks and seconded by Chris Hanagan.Justification. As the club grows in size the number of members needed for a quorum increases (15%of 400 is 60 whereas 15%of 600 is 90) Together with the difficulty of finding sites around the country with sufficient electric hook ups for a rally. 70 electrichook ups with 10-15 nonelectric may be a maximum we can find. Therefore the camping sites are the limiting factor in achieving a quorum.
HISTORICALLY (FOR 14 YEARS) THE AGM HAS BEEN HELD AT STRATFORD RACECOURSE WHICH MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CLUB. CAMPERS AVERAGED 100 UNITS AND ATTENDDEES 130 MEMBERS EQUATING TO 20% OF THE THEN MEMBERSHIP. OVER THE YEARS MUCH TIME HAS BEEN SPENT ON LOCATING AN ALTERNATIVE VENUE WITHOUT SUCCESS.
